A Ghanaian actress was imprisoned for taking naked pictures of her son.

The Court of Accra has ruled against Akuapem Poloo for posing nude to her son in commemoration of his seventh birthday.


Rosemond Brown, a model of Actress and Instagram, is to be served three months in prison, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo.


The prosecutor said on the day of June 30 2020, the actress celebrated her son's seventh birthday (name not given) and took her son's nude picture half-naked and shared it on the Social Media Instagram website.


The actions or behavior of the accused undermines privacy or can the integrity of the son, says Chief Inspector Asantewa.


Following the allegation, Akuapem Poloo was detained, and in a confession to the authorities, she confessed to sharing the naked photo of her son unwittingly.


According to the lawyer, the post-written text says: "I am naked in front of you, because this was my nakedness and I was giving birth, but if you see me lying anywhere, don't go by and see me as your mother who brought you into being."


Following her indictment of nude photography with her son, which she posted on Social Media in 2020, by the Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday, 14 April 2021.


Poloo was sentenced to 90 days in prison by the district court after pleading guilty to three charges leveled against her.


Poloo's trial was postponed until today, April 16, 2021, after the court ordered her to take a maternity test to ensure she was not pregnant until her sentence was passed.


Her findings were negative, indicating that she is fit to complete her sentence.
